Calvin grew up in Salt Lake City and has always been inspired by the Wasatch Mountains and impressed by the local athletes. In high school, he learned to trail run, rock climb, ski and canyoneer. Since then, Calvin has worked as a mountaineering guide on Mt. Rainier, a canyoneering guide in Escalante, Utah, and a ski guide in the Ruby Mountains. Calvin is pursuing a full IFMGA certification and has completed his AMGA Ski Guide Course, Alpine Guide Course, and Advanced Rock Guide Course. Calvin is also a certified Pro Guide with the American Canyoneering Association, their highest level of training.
