Alex started skiing at age 5 near Montreal, Canada. Since graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Tourism, Alex has showed a relentless passion for skiing and climbing, which eventually brought him to Utah. He climbs over 100 days per summer, skis over 100 days every winter and has 30 years of experience working in the mountains.
Alex is uniquely qualified with extensive experience in both teaching technical skills as well as safely guiding in the backcountry. When he’s not guiding, Alex spends time perfecting his own skills on rock (up to 5.13c), developing new climbing routes, skiing powder, mountain biking and hiking with his dog Frost, brewing award-winning beer as well as traveling all over the world in search of perfect rock and snow! With his infectious smile and fun, dynamic attitude, Alex is known for instilling a sense of adventure and free-spirit in everyone he guides.
