Half of the battle is getting the right equipment. UMA guides rely on high-quality gear on a daily basis and together have thousands of days putting gear to the test. Our experience has led us to partner with multiple industry-leading brands to provide our guides and guests the best experience, ease of access and most success each day. UMA is a small, locally-owned guiding operation and is only insured to rent and loan gear to guests who are being guided by our guides.

Local Gear Rentals & Retailers
Salt Lake City is a mecca for the latest and greatest, with access to top-notch gearheads. While we prefer UMA’s rental gear for certain circumstances that benefit traveling guests, we encourage guests to demo or rent from local retailers because there are so many great options to try out, and everybody’s gear preferences vary.
